The Praxis I Chair is a concept derived out of a self driven challenge to reinterpret the common office chair. This design was borne out of questioning whether it was possible to design an office chair that was economically practical, realistic to manufacture, yet comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. This question came out of observing the office furniture of my current office environment and envisioning a better workplace based on a vision of comfort and improved visual aesthetics.
The design of the Praxis I Chair is a refinement of a core element of any professional workspace. Featuring a unified seat and back cushion atop a singular frame, Praxis I takes the essential elements of the modern office chair and merges them into a consistent and unified design. Made of a molded block of viscoelastic foam and upholstered with perforated leather, the cushion adapts easily to a wide range of body types – making Praxis I unique in its commitment to comfort and and simplicity.
